So why bother…Answer the cost of a carbon tax could be your job, standard of living and future prosperity.
–
The NZ government could be taxing NZders $billions in carbon tax, and this money should go to :
1) better schools
2) hospitals
3) law and order
Even if there is a carbon tax, NOT ONE DOLLAR SHOULD LEAVE NZ!
A carbon debt hospital could be taxed for the creation of a carbon credit hospital. We are so small we should be inward looking, not global outward looking.
The NZ government is currently borrowing from the world $7 Bn p.a just to maintain our current lifestyle, therefore will we be borrowing more money to pay the carbon tax. Hows that a good idea ? More debt on future generations of tax paying NZders !!(^%(&^
The Climate Change supporter says, the climate damage risk is so high, we should do what we can to HEDGE against it, but if we wrong, that’s ok, as it was better to HEDGE just in case, than do nothing at all and suffer the consequences if it did happen. What these supports don’t understand is that the cost of this hedge will see a reduction in living standards, to the fixed income and poor this can mean death (eg cant afford the power cost increase etc).
If a person or a group of persons or a country pays a tax to another body, you are giving up part of your freedom, some say its for the greater good, and it can be, and then it can not be. How much sovereignty will be lost when NZ pays its tax, will we be dictated to by European talking heads who we can and can not sell our exports too, will they make harsh judgments on our exports if we dont pay enough carbon tax, will Nick Smith have the power to say NO to the world government carbon tax authority??
Warning: Corruption of Tax Carbon Receipts.
When you donate $10 to a charity for some poor starving child in Africa, the child is lucky to see $3 of the $10 you donated. The fees and charges given to the middle men from your pocket to the child are enormous. Just wonder what the fees and consultant cost of your carbon tax would be before it gets to the carbon credit party, and how much would the UN keep?? I foresee a whole new ‘consultant’ business boom coming.

Very true. Carbon taxes will have thousands of middle men pulling money from sovereign nations and spreading them amongst the global elites i.e. Our countries dictators, extreme rich, and the power hungry large governments of the world. Carbon taxes are not for the sake of the planet or humanity, though, those who will profit from these endeavors easily lead the timid and foolish to believe so.
